Lightweight Foamed Insulating Concrete is an engineered portland cement slurry combined with precise amounts of density controlled foam. The portland cement slurry and foam are mixed producing a lightweight insulating mixture containing uniformly distributed air cells.

In it’s rigid form it can be thought of as concrete having air as the aggregate. Density can be varied from 20-120 lb./ft3. Compressive strength ranges from 20 to 3,500 psi. are available.

VariMax TM Liquid Foaming Concentrate is diluted with water the diluted mixture is pumped under pressure in the foam generator the pressurized mixture is forced through an engineered foaming chamber, pre-formed foam with the texture of shaving cream moves from the foaming chamber into a mixture of cement and water. The result is fresh low density insulating foamed cellular concrete mix.

Foam is the last ingredient added to the mix and does not expand or contract after addition. The combination can withstand vigorous mixing and has been pumped hundreds of feet with little loss of density. The cement paste, coats each air cell and hardens. The result is a very economical lightweight insulating concrete with excellent insulating and impact resistance quality.
